GREAT SUCCESS!!!!

We are proud to announce that yesterday, via email we got this from the embassy titled:

"Visa Approval Number/Permission Request ID: 1560110507044"

This means that we officially got our working holiday visas approved, and in 2 1/2 weeks time too! (We were shocked because we were under the impression that it would take 6-8 weeks). We spoke to our immigration agent and they said they were rather impressed by how efficiently and carefully we had our paperwork together, and it made it so much easier for them to process and approve our application.

Needless to say, now the ball is really rolling!!! We got an extension on our initial entry date (you have 3 months to enter the country upon visa approval) so we technically have until June 30th to enter Australia. I (Summer) am going on a cruise to Alaska with mom, Scott and J from May 24th-May 31st, so now we have more time to sell stuff-organize- and move! We will be setting a moving date sometime in June, booking airline tickets in the next few days, planning one last big party, and deciding what we're selling.... within the next few weeks.

Now that we are eligible to work in AU, the job search is back on! I will update as we continue to make strides in the process.

Meanwhile, we've both had some teary-eyed conversations with our moms yesterday....and we want Patti, Scott, John and Sue to know that without their excellent guidance, love, and support, we could never ever be in this position today. These four are the best parents anyone could ask for, and you all should consider our success- your success. We love you! Thank you for everything, and for encouraging us to fulfill our dreams and live like we have the world in the palm of our hands. We are nothing without you.
