A sneak preview...

My show (rock musical) "tick, tick...BOOM!" opened successfully at the Roundhouse Theatre on Wednesday evening to a stormy evening, but a fantastic audience. Opening nights are always interesting because you realize people actually laugh at certain parts, clap at other parts, and you can never be fully prepared for each reaction. Our 3 person cast pulled everything off beautifully (outside of me forgetting AGAIN to bring chairs off the stage in the second scene...oops!)
We had a reviewer attend a dress rehearsal on Monday night, and he said some really nice things despite us having a very rough rehearsal that night: check out what he had to say HERE.

My apologies in advance to cast members Bradley and Ian for posting these for all of America to see....we all make the weirdest expressions during the show, so I just posted the most normal ones of me (which left the boys looking not so pretty in these shots).

In this show we tell the true autobiographical story of RENT writer Jonathan Larson's struggles to live and work in NYC and find love and happiness. In order to do this....both Ian and I (guy in black shirt) play about 4 characters each while Bradley plays main character, Jon. Here I am as "Judy Wright" leading a corporate meeting.

This is the finale song "Louder than Words" where we just wail out notes and rock out!!! The lyrics in the song go "Cages or wings, which do you prefer? Ask the birds..."

Here I am as "Karessa" the young bubbly actress who has a crush on Jon...in this number we are singing about eating candy bars and sugar! Karessa runs into Jon at the gas station, where he is buying Twinkies! (side note- the director had to order twinkies from the States just for this scene! haha)

Here I am as Jon's dancer girlfriend Susan, who is threatening to leave him and here they are arguing on the phone.
