Thanks to all who sent me emails, well wishes, luck and good energy leading up to my 7 performances in the last week!! It went beautifully, and I had the time of my life. (Australian performing debut! woohoo!) So, without further delay... after technical difficulties, dodgy internet, massive user error (me), procrastination and youtube dodginess, here are some clips of video from my recent performances!
CLIP #1 is a song called "Therapy" from "tick tick...BOOM!", filmed last Saturday at the matinee. Susan and Jon are starting to argue about petty things in their relationship over the phone, but the argument turns sour as Susan is getting angry and Jon just doesn't have clue. My friend Mel is taping and its hilarious because you can hear her giggle throughout the song. Now keep in mind this other actor (Bradley) is Aussie, not American! Listen to his accent because you can barely tell...that's how good his accent became! *Note the lovely green dress I was wearing was giving me a hard time and wanted to slip down so I kept wiggling it back up, and I also nearly tripped on that chair! Oh the charm and grace of being me...
CLIP #2 was from the Paisley Lane jazz/Christmas concert just yesterday morning! After belting out music from tick tick boom for 5 straight performances, my voice was pretty much left with nothing. 2 days later was our concert and I was still vocally just exhausted! (When it gets to my solo you'll hear what I mean-yikes)...oh and the bonus footage you'll get here is that the neck of my dress was deciding to fold over and I guess the front row got a good show when I took a bow at the end! (yikes!) Here we are singing "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas".
*Note the look on my face during the beginning because I was trying to remember when I was supposed to sing my turn....and yes, you'll get a glimpse of my bra (twice) when I bow at the end...whoops! (Christmas has come early?)
Will work on posting more videos, so stay tuned. HAPPY THANKSGIVING! We're not doing a turkey dinner here so eat some stuffing for me, and pumpkin pie for Brian....miss and love you all! :0)
Learned another new phrase..."Chookas for the show!" means "break a leg!" here :)

Oh my goodness, I love the song from the first clip! Hilarious!!!! I swear that's how we all sound sometimes, right?! Amazing performance too =p And hello, did you girls make a Christmas CD because I would totally buy it! Great job Summer!!!
Summer you are AMAZING! Both of those clips show that you have way more talent than any one person should have!
I have been listening to Christmas music for the past couple of days but it was not until that song that I was put into the Christmas spirit! Thank you!
