Driving on the wrong side of the road.

The week before we finally found a flat, we drove around Briz and the Sunshine Coast, checking out the scenery and eating along the way. Here are some highlights of what we found while exploring! As you can tell, our harsh winter here is really keeping us indoors ;)

Stopping by the pineapple/strawberry fields on the way to Montsville
Brian made a new friend whilst stopping to eat some pineapple

The scenic view just inland of the Sunshine Coast

Stopping for afternoon tea and scones!
Cheese!

The city view from the car

****This picture is PG-13***Lastly, our adventures thus far have, of course, included strangers telling us all about what they think of Americans. I was recently approached at a bar by these interesting boys who seemed to think that I had lots of hot American girlfriends within my reach. They insisted that I take a photo of them to show my "hot American girls", so here it is, as promised. Feast your eyes on this photo ladies, and try to resist their classy, Aussie charm.

Tempting, no? Ladies, if you want to check out some real Aussies, google search "Rugby League" or find it on youtube. It is THE premier sport in all of Aussie, New Zealand, and the U.K. and is quickly becoming our favorite sport. Talk about Spartans on the playing field! We learned that we should definitely cheer for the Queenslanders, New Zealand Warriors, Brisbane Broncos, and All Blacks. Hopefully we'll make it to a game very soon...
