I get to use my pink umbrella!

Well, it's been raining for the last couple of days, and since we have lived in the desert so long, we have spent these rainy days doing this:

Also....whilst taking the buses/trains everywhere, we decided to add another member to our Aussie family. Meet Adam Corolla/Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, our 1984 Toyota Corolla! I know, I know, I sense many of you might be jealous of our new ride, but what I'm sure you're NOT jealous of is Summer re-learning to drive stick (now with her left hand), while on the right side of the car, and on the LEFT side of the road....going up and down hills. (YIKES!!!!!!) We bought this little gem from a local mechanic, and Brian occasionally goes over to his shop to borrow tools to tweak our little car when it's making funny noises. This little car helps us to get to the grocery store, bottle shop (liquor store) and other nearby places with ease. We don't use him too much though, since petrol prices are out of control here.

Another highlight of this week is Brian and Dustin got called in for an appointment to see a recruitment agency for local IT jobs. Here they are, all dressed up, and ready to go to the interview. (Either that, or to Vegas)

Lastly, while we've been enjoying cuisines from around the world here (greek, thai, japanese, irish, indian, etc)...we've been saving money trying to cook at home. Don't let your eyes deceive you, that is indeed Summer cooking thai green curry for dinner.... yummy!
